I worked as a primary therapist at the Oliver-Pyatt Centers, a residential treatment center for women with eating disorders following my intensive training at Northwestern University’s Counseling and Psychological Services Center. Prior to opening my private practice, I served as Clinical Director at the Oliver-Pyatt Centers.

Throughout my past experiences, I have gained expertise in helping individuals heal from a range of psychological concerns including: eating disorders, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief/loss, and life transitions.

I understand that you and your struggles are unique and therefore I adopt an eclectic approach to my practice. I value the the therapeutic relationship immensely and will use that connection along with skills-based interventions (i.e. cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing) to help you develop insight into your distress and to facilitate desired change.

I recognize that seeking treatment can be intimidating and the decision to do so takes courage. Therefore, I strive to create a warm environment that will allow you to comfortably explore dysfunctional patterns you are unable to break on your own.

My goal is to help you feel empowered in your own skin in order to adopt new ways of relating to yourself, others, and the world. I want you to live a more meaningful life. The therapeutic process with me is collaborative and I am known for my empathic style, gentle directness and use of humor. I live in Aventura with my husband, two sons and dog (pictured here).
